Vie Science Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 5, 2026
Last Updated: June 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Vie Science, Inc. (“Vie Science,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information about you when you visit our website at https://vie.science, access the Vie Science software platform (including Vie Insight, Vie Optimize, Vie Precision, and the AI-powered Ask Dr. C assistant when it becomes available), participate in the Founding Members Program, or otherwise interact with our products and services (collectively, the “Services”).
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By creating an account, purchasing a membership, or otherwise using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. Your use of the Services is also governed by our Terms of Service. If you are a Washington, Nevada, Connecticut, or other state resident with separate consumer health data rights, please also review our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, which is provided as a separate notice as required by applicable law.
IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING HEALTH INFORMATION: Vie Science is a consumer wellness and behavioral activation software platform. We are not a healthcare provider, health plan, or healthcare clearinghouse, and the Services do not constitute the practice of medicine or the provision of medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. In most cases, the information we collect is not Protected Health Information governed by HIPAA. It is, however, sensitive personal information — and we treat it as such, applying heightened protections described throughout this Policy.
1. Quick Summary
This Policy is long because reproductive health data is sensitive and the laws governing it are complex. Here is the short version:
- We collect information you provide directly (account, assessment responses, lifestyle and reproductive health information), information generated by your use of the Services (Vie Score, Precision insights, AI assistant interactions, engagement data), and — only with your explicit consent — data from connected devices or laboratory partners.
- We use this information to deliver the Services, operate our business, communicate with you, and — only with your separate, opt-in consent — to support scientific research.
- We do not sell your personal information or your consumer health data. We do not use your reproductive or fertility data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We do not share your identifiable consumer health data with third parties except as you direct, as necessary to operate the Services under written contractual protections, or as required by law.
- We do not permit third-party AI providers to use your identifiable information to train their general-purpose models. AI features within the Services apply guardrails, are clearly labeled, and are not a substitute for medical care.
- You have meaningful rights to access, correct, delete, port, and limit our processing of your information. We honor opt-out preference signals (e.g., Global Privacy Control) where required.
- We commit to challenging overbroad government or law enforcement requests for reproductive health data and to providing notice to affected users where legally permitted.
You can contact our Privacy Office at info@vie.science or by mail at the address above, Attn: Privacy Office.
- Identifiers and account information: name, email address, date of birth, postal address, phone number, account credentials, and (for Founding Members) billing information processed by our payment processor.
- Demographic information: age, sex assigned at birth, gender identity (optional), and other demographic information you choose to provide.
- Reproductive and fertility information: menstrual cycle data, pregnancy and pregnancy-loss history, contraceptive use, time-to-conception, fertility treatment history, sexual and reproductive health history, and partner-related fertility information you choose to provide.
- Lifestyle and behavioral information: nutrition, sleep, physical activity, alcohol and substance use, stress, exposure to environmental contaminants, and other factors captured in the Vie Optimize assessment.
- Communications: messages you send to us, including questions and prompts you submit through the Ask Dr. C educational assistant (when available) or other support channels.
- Survey, feedback, and research responses: information you provide in optional surveys, focus groups, or interviews.
- Vie Score and Optimize activation data: your fertility readiness score (0–100), pillar-level sub-scores, change attribution outputs, and recommended action triggers generated based on your inputs.
- Vie Precision insights: scores, summaries, flags, and educational explanations generated within Vie Precision based on biomarker and diagnostic information you have authorized us to receive.
- Ask Dr. C interaction data (when the feature is available): the prompts you send to and the responses generated by the Ask Dr. C AI-powered educational assistant, as well as feedback you provide on responses.
- Usage information: pages you visit, features you use, time spent, click patterns, and similar engagement data.
- Device and technical information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and similar technical data.
- Cookies and similar technologies: as described in Section 9 below.
- Connected wearables and devices (for example, Oura, where authorized): biometric and physiologic data such as heart rate variability, sleep stages, temperature, and activity metrics.
- Diagnostic and laboratory partners (for example, Fellow Health, Fullwell, OOVA, Virtus Health, or others you authorize): laboratory test results, including reproductive hormone panels, semen analysis, microbiome results, and related diagnostic data — used by Vie Precision to generate insights.
- Healthcare providers you authorize to share information with us.
We do not access these data sources unless you affirmatively connect them and consent to the specific data flow. You may revoke these connections at any time, although data we have already received and processed may continue to be held subject to this Policy.
3.4 Information We Do Not Collect
